Church of Clinton Growing

From the UK's Daily Mirror

In words that would not have been out of place in the Arkansas churches where he first learned the power of oratory, he thundered: "The great promise of progressive politics in the end is that we really do believe our common humanity is more important than our differences."

At that moment he became warrior and missionary, his faith helping the poor, his battle-plan to end global injustice.

Quite a circle of friends developing...

Speaking of war so easily

“Why is the U.S. government so against our people?” “They speak of war so easily, as if it’s on their daily agenda. We never speak of war.”
-Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, speaking through a translator, in an interview with NBC News.

“Those who benefit from the pope’s comments and drive their own arrogant policies should be targeted with attacks and protests”
Ahmadinejad's boss, Iran's "supreme leader" Ayatollah Ali Khamenei (from LGF)

Khamenei is urging attacks against the US while Ahmadinejad claims to "never speak of war." Anyone applauding Ahmadinejad's UN speech can be checked off on the enemy list. Can he be allowed to speak such lies when it is clear what that Iran's oil money is funding Hezbollah and Hamas? This post feels redundant...

Gore: "elimination of all payroll taxes" for a pollution tax

"For the last fourteen years, I have advocated and advocate today the elimination of all payroll taxes - including those for social security and unemployment compensation — and the replacement of that revenue with pollution taxes — principally on CO2. The overall level of taxation would remain exactly the same. It would be, in other words, a revenue neutral tax swap. But, instead of discouraging businesses from hiring more employees, it would discourage business from producing more pollution. A good swap."

—Vice President Gore speaking yesterday at New York University
(hat tip, NY Sun)

This is the first time I've ever heard of such a proposal, but I would welcome such an offer with open-arms. It is also becoming clear that Mr. Gore is running for president.

A tough stretch for the MSM

Wow…

• Reutersgate (here, here, and here)
• Plamegate (here, here, and here)
• Path to 9/11 movie (here, here, here, here, here and here)

I have said it a million times, and I must say it again. Getting away with a lie in the Internet age is getting harder and harder. The more obvious it becomes that the entrenched media has its own bias (left bias) and is willing to lie and threaten people to cover them up, the more they are digging their own grave. Give the the liars a microphone.
